How to plan your wedding entertainment

How to plan your wedding entertainment

Planning entertainment for your special day can  be very tricky. Every wedding is unique, so here are some ways Tony Balloonman has been used in wedding packages and hopefully this will give you some ideas for your up and coming event.

Table To Table.

This will add  a bit of colour and playful banter at your celebration. While your guests enjoy their wedding meal, Tony Balloonman will hop from table to table making balloon creations at request. Add a joke or two,  a little bit of  magic and this will create  great memories for your young and old guests.

While You Wait
Wedding always have a lot of down time and waiting around! Waiting while the photographs are taken, waiting for speeches,  or that long wait when the afternoon event has finished and next event is the evening dance. You can use this package to break up a long day for the children. Tony Balloonman will provide a magic/puppet show, games and unlimited balloon creations; if you are catering for older children balloon workshops can be provided.
A side room would be required to perform the show, with enough space to set up magic and sound equipment.

Let Your Hair Down

It is party time! You may have a dance, a night time knees up and this entertainment package is for adults and children alike. Balloon wearables , dressing up and entertaining all your guests (see video)

The Full Monty

Tony Balloonman has  a four to six hour package available to include all of the above. When planning your wedding timing is the most difficult part, so when will you be taking pictures? What time are the speeches? So when will you book your entertainer. Make sure you cover the time frame  just in case you are running late!

Summer Entertainment cont.

Summer  Entertainment package

The summer is a mixed bag of entertainment packages. Last year (2016) I undertook everything, from balloon twisting in a Shopping centre to stage magic show at a rock festival. One day I am a compare at a school fete, the next I am doing my grown up balloon wearable at a night club.

If you are planning a summer event here are my tips. These can apply to a simple family barbecue or a four day rock festival. I apologise that this is mainly entertainment based, but you can adapt it to all aspects of event organization

First start with Why?

What is it for? Every event has a reason, a wedding is obvious,  but some events not so clear. It maybe a fund raising or you (the organizer) is giving back to community. The why? Will effect the rest of your planning. List your objectives.

Start early

Do not underestimate how much time you need to plan. Count the months and weeks write down what you should achieve at these points. You will know if you are running behind your program.

Make a plan

The plan, what to achieve and when to achieve it by, would include a list of jobs.

This year Tony Balloonman has put together three simple packages for your up and coming events. If you are hosting an event, maybe a school fete, carnival, charity fundraiser, a large festival or simply a pub family BBQ, we are now taking event bookings on a first come first served basis. We have three packages; the Supreme, Ultimate and Soft Booking. The supreme and ultimate will involve interactive magic shows and puppet shows and can be performed alternatively throughout the day. In between the show The Balloon Man will create balloon sculptures for all your visitors.

Supreme: Hire Tony Balloonman at a competitive rate for two hour shows and indeed for the entire day.
Ultimate: This is where you pay per show at a reduced rate. Tony Balloonman will then sell balloons to cover the rest of his costs.

Soft booking: This is totally free! Invite Tony Balloonman to your event and he will entertain the public selling balloon creations at a small cost per balloon. This is not a guaranteed booking (a paid booking will replace a soft booking)
All prices are subjected to your location.

Entertainment at Public Events

Wearable balloon Dragon

Entertainment at Public Events

The summertime is a very busy time for me, I love going out and working everyday, My diary starts filling up at the end of February and every event is so different from the other. If you live in the South Wales or Southwest England you would probably have seen me (Tony Balloonman). You may of seen me at an agricultural show such as Llagynidr  or the activity days at Llancaiach Fawr Manor.
The Big Tribute festival

What does Tony Balloonman do?

When the call comes in "please come to our event"  I ask the following question, " what would you like me to do?" Nine out of ten times the answer is, "balloons" Mainly because, as the name imply's Tony Balloonman, but they do not see any other possibilities.

Firstly they will book me to make balloons. Now I to need clarify exactly what they want me to do, "Would you like me to make balloon creations and give them away? Or balloon wearables, or a balloon stage show. Not to mention balloon workshops, magic show, puppet shows. MC Etc.

Use your entertainers to there full potential

When booking an entertainer find out all he can do. This could save money in the long run. Firstly Ask
  1. What can you do?
  2. Make a list of requirements and see if you can tick off more than one job per booking. If you are paying by the hour, use them as much as possible.
  3. Entertainers like to show off so make the most of every skill they have.
